Terms of Service
Effective 13 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and VPT (listed on the App Store as “Virtual PT”) for your use of the VPT app and the services behind it. “VPT”, “we” and “us” mean the provider named at the end of this page. By creating an account or using VPT you agree to these terms, our End User Licence Agreement and our Privacy Policy.
1. What VPT is
VPT is a virtual personal trainer. It records your training, demonstrates movements, and uses AI to suggest routines, weights, repetitions, goals and schedules. It is a fitness tool. It is not a medical service, and it does not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified trainer.
2. Your health and safety
Exercise carries a risk of injury. VPT’s suggestions are generated automatically from the information you provide. They can be wrong, and they don’t account for medical conditions or limits you haven’t told us about, or that VPT can’t know. You are responsible for deciding whether to perform any exercise, and how. Please read our safety information before you train. Seek medical advice before starting or changing your training if you have a medical condition or injury, or are pregnant.
3. Who can use VPT
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need the permission of a parent or guardian.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at support@vpt.info if you believe your account has been compromised. The information you give us, especially about your body, health and injuries, should be accurate. VPT’s suggestions depend on it.
5. Membership and payment
Some features require a paid membership, sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account.
- Your membership renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account’s subscription settings.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
A coach’s code may give you an offer. The offer’s terms are shown when you redeem it.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use VPT for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive;
- infringe anyone’s rights;
- attempt to access other users’ data or our systems without permission, or interfere with the service;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service, its content or its AI output, except as the law allows; or
- upload content you don’t have the right to share.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the information and content you add to VPT, such as workouts, notes, photos and feedback. You give us permission to store, process and display it to provide and improve the service for you. This includes sending it to our service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
8. Our content
VPT’s software, design, movement demonstrations, animations, instructions and other content belong to us or our licensors. They are licensed to you only under our End User Licence Agreement.
9. Changes to VPT and these terms
We may add, change or remove features at any time. When we change these terms we will update the effective date above. If a change is material, we will ask you to accept the new terms in the app before you continue using VPT.
10. Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using VPT and delete your account at any time in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account as well. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or where the law requires us to. We will tell you when we do, unless the law prevents us from doing so.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Warranties and liability
To the extent the law allows:
- VPT is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI suggestions will be accurate or suitable for you.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for injury arising from your decision to perform an exercise. This does not apply to injury caused by our negligence.
- Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can lawfully be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections that your local law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
